Farming guide: what to farm right now, and where
Name your goal and your level, then go. Spots by level, what to farm and sell to other players, potions, scrolls, quests and crafting, what suits each class, how to judge a map, and what is a waste of time.
Every number and name on this page is read live from the game data.
Name your goal, then your level, then go. Most wasted farming comes from chasing the wrong thing. Two of the five goals below are not farming at all.
| You want | Do this | Read |
|---|---|---|
| Mesos | Sell to players: quest scrolls first, then goods that sold well above an NPC. Cut your potion bill, then grind mobs you kill in one or two hits, or three or four from the 40s. No mob is a proven meso mob | Mesos, what to sell |
| Potions | Do not farm them. Buy the right ones and do the quests that pay them | Potions |
| Scrolls | Do not farm them. Quests and Kerning PQ pay them | Scrolls |
| Quest items | Farm these on purpose. A mob's own Etc item is the most reliable drop we can show | Quest items |
| Crafting materials | Farm the mob's own Etc item, never ore | Crafting |
Then find your level in the route. Your class changes the pick, so check the class table before you walk anywhere.
How far the numbers go. Nobody has mesos per kill, and the game data does not hold it, so this page prints no hourly income as fact. Counted drops stop at level 27. Only four mobs have a sample worth leaning on: , , and . That last count sits on a test-map copy, and we apply it to the Ant Tunnel mob by our reading. Above that, drops are reference data, not confirmed in Classic World. Spawn numbers are spawn points, not mobs alive at once. Nexon changed spawns on 30 Oct and did not say how, and every hourly income figure anyone has dates from 30 Oct or earlier.
Where to go by level
These picks are for farming, not the fastest levels. For pure EXP use the Leveling guide. The Training advisor ranks maps by mob EXP and spawn points, which makes it a good starting list, but it knows nothing about your goal, your potions or the crowd.
| Level | Farm | What you are there for |
|---|---|---|
| 1–9 | Quests, not farming | Keep your shells |
| 10–14 | , , | Cloth, leather and wood, the first quest stacks |
| 15–20 | , , | Caps and wings for your level 15 to 20 quests |
| 21–30 | , , | The best counted Etc value at an NPC, and Kerning PQ |
| 30–40 | , , , , | The stacks that unlock your 40s chains |
| 41–50 | , , | Dolls, Drake parts and Medicine |
| 50+ | , , | Rubble and Frogs for your quests, and single late quest items, on thin evidence |
Hidden portals. Many walks on this page use a hidden portal, one with no visible marker. Some are plain doors in town and others you have to find. We know which maps they join, not where each one sits, and the pathfinder does not flag them. The notes below say how many to expect. The worst are , all 3 from Henesys, and the deep subway.
Check the subway booth first. The only way into the subway is through , and whether that needs a ticket is not confirmed. Check at before you plan around it. , and have no other walkable spawn, so , and depend on the answer. For , and are the way around, with 35 and 38 points.
Levels 1 to 9: do not farm yet
Quests do the work. Collect 10 and 1 for before you leave the island. Do not grind the 60 shells for there. That quest wants 20 each of , and at 20 and pays 2,021 EXP, 658 mesos and 20 Blue Potions, and has all three snails on Victoria.
Levels 10 to 14: materials near your town
Pick the map nearest your job town. Until your trade lock ends you cannot sell to players, so bank anything a shop does not sell and sell only true junk to an NPC.
Levels 15 to 20: caps and wings
This band fills the quests that pay your first scroll. at 20 asks for 15 and 15 , on top of kills. The last spot below covers the Horny caps and carries you to the Ant Tunnels at 24.
Levels 21 to 30: the Ant Tunnels
This is the main event, and the crowd knows it. Players report the best spots full on most channels. The tunnels start at . The spots below open at 24, so stay on or run Kerning PQ until then. On foot that is 7 portals from Perion with nothing above level 32, or 4 from Henesys past level 56 Stone Golems on . The pathfinder shows the shortest walk, not the safest, so check what lives on each step. Sleepywood sells no Red or Blue Potions, so stock up first.
Kerning PQ is the other choice from 21, and players report using its bonus stage for goods. One report so far, from 26 Oct, lists about 20 minutes of bonus rounds paying mesos, caps, potions and sometimes a scroll. By 7 Nov sold under what an NPC lists, so do not count on reselling those. Think of it as goods, not mesos.
Levels 30 to 40: the stacks that open your 40s
Do not farm here until you know what your next chain asks for. The level 35 to 50 plan has the chains. The drops below are all reference data, not confirmed in Classic World.
Levels 41 to 50: dolls, Drakes and Medicine
These drops are reference data too, so stop and rethink if a stack is not filling.
When is full, use , 4 portals from Ellinia, or , 5 portals. Each has 26 points and 2 hidden portals on the way.
Level 50 and up: little to go on
No drop above level 27 has a Classic count, so we cannot rank these maps for income. The Rubble and Frog stacks below feed quests that also need an item from another player, listed at the end of the selling section. Keep your EXP plan from the Leveling guide.
Farming for mesos
No mob is a proven meso mob, because nobody has mesos per kill. What we can show is how little Etc pays at an NPC: by our estimate about 3 to 11 mesos a kill on the four best-counted mobs, leaving out equipment, potions and any mesos on the ground. The top of that range is , by our reading of a test-map count, and even there one costs about 14 kills. So an NPC is the floor, and the money is in what other players pay. The map matters less than these, in order:
- Sell scrolls to players. Players report quest and PQ scrolls as their first real money, and scrolls and gear were the two biggest groups of tracked sales by value in the week to 7 Nov. See Keep or sell.
- Sell goods to players, not NPCs. Farm what the level table names, keep what it says to keep, and use an NPC only as the floor. Materials do sell, in bulk, but nobody has shown how fast one store's stack goes.
- Cut the potion bill. Players report that killing in one or two hits is what stops potions eating their income. Two reports so far add that farming below your level helps the same way. Logged runs from a small group of players on , before the 30 Oct change, lost about 85% of gross mesos to potions. That is one map, mixed classes and drops at NPC value, but it is why you judge a map on net.
- Then grind. Our pick, not a measurement: the Ant Tunnels from your mid 20s into your 30s, on whichever map you two-hit. This pick rests on the NPC floor, not on player trade: has the best Etc value at an NPC of the well-counted mobs, by our reading of a test-map count, but its caps sold for under what an NPC lists. At sold prices its Etc only ties level 8 , and the potions it drops are what lift it, by our estimate. One report so far says mushrooms there refund some potions, and the same report is the only firsthand income figure on a named map. See what players report earning.
Keep an eye out for three reference drops. No Classic rate exists for any of them, so do not plan on them. Only the first gives a player a reason to buy.
| Drop | Listed on | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| , , , , , | Sell it to crafters: it sold above an NPC. With Arcforging rank 6, refine it into first, since that sold for more than the ore plus the recipe fee, and gains 800 each even at NPC prices. wants the refined gem, so keep one only if you have the rank. If no player buys and you lack the rank, the NPC floor is 500 | |
| , , | No quest or recipe uses it, and no sale or listing turned up. Ask around once, then take the NPC floor, 3,500 | |
| No quest or recipe uses it, and no sale or listing turned up. Ask around once, then take the NPC floor, 2,000 |
If you see one, report the drop with your kill count. That is how these rows become real numbers.
One lucky equip proves nothing. One in 207 kills was worth more than every other Stump drop in the count put together, by NPC price. Do not move in or out of a map on one drop.
Items to farm and sell to players
Sell scrolls first, then materials that sold well above an NPC, and keep the rare things that fall. Do not chase one item. Scrolls were about 40 to 45% of non-cash value in tracked sales to 7 Nov, gear about 35 to 50%, Etc and ores about 2 to 6%, depending on the tracker. Among materials, what no shop sells and crafters need sold best. Most quest stacks sold just over an NPC, so farm those for your own quests. Gear above the level where shops stop can sell for far more, but not always.
Sold to 7 Nov. Rounded middle price in mesos of the last day's sales. The Sales column counts about 31 Oct to 7 Nov, so fewer sales sit behind each price than it shows. Prices move within days, so this is a guide, not a quote.

| Level | Farm, and what to sell | Who buys it, and why |
|---|---|---|
| 1 to 9 | Quests. A first character cannot sell yet, so bank from and from , both counted at about 45%, and when it falls on or , counted at about 2%. , unconfirmed: if it falls | Crafters and questers, later. Bronze Ore is the only way to make , and Tree Branch makes . Both sold above an NPC, Pig's Head far above |
| 10 to 19 | , counted over only 40 kills: , , , . , counted over only 30: . , unconfirmed: , and if it falls | Crafters: no shop sells these, and and go into dozens of recipes. Questers: ribbons, caps and legs. Leather sold far above an NPC, caps and legs just over, the rest above. By our estimate Ribbon Pig has the best counted Etc value at sold prices. Keep what your own quests ask for first, such as 20 Leather and 20 Stiff Feather for at 22 |
| 20 to 29 | Kerning PQ and quests, for scrolls. , unconfirmed: and if they fall. Mages, , unconfirmed: | Scroll buyers come first, see below. Crafters as above. The Hoof sold nearly double an NPC, in bulk. sold under what an NPC lists, so farm it for your own quests, up to 85 |
| 30 to 39 | Thin evidence. , unconfirmed: , and if they fall | Crafters: Leather sold far above an NPC, Garnet Ore above it. Stacks like and sold just over it, so farm those for your own quests |
| 40 to 49 | Thin evidence. , unconfirmed: if it falls | Crafters: it sold above an NPC. has the biggest quest need in the game and the most stock of any Etc, and sold just over an NPC. Keep what your chain needs plus 30 for once Forgotten Hollow opens. Farm them for your chain first, and the rest will sell for a little over an NPC |
| 50 and up | No farm target we can back. Keep your quest items, if it falls, and what the list below names. Clear the rest | Gear buyers, see below. Skip : wants 50, but its own 120 kills should supply them, by our estimate, and it barely sold |
How far to trust this. Sold means a store slot two trackers saw sell out, at its listed price, not a game record. The two agree closely but may watch the same stores, and one tracker puts most sales on 5 to 7 Nov, so read amounts as a minimum. Far above means over 10 times an NPC, above over 2 times, just over about 1 to 2. Only one good here has an open buy request. Sales show buyers, not how many are crafters, and they do not confirm a drop row. Counted means real kill counts. Unconfirmed means reference data, not confirmed in Classic World. Trading opens 24 hours after a character on your account reaches level 15, by Nexon's rule restated 22 Oct, so a first character banks until then.
Keep these when they fall
Equipment scrolls. Every scroll with a real sample sold above the 1 meso an NPC pays, and about 80% of that value is scrolls quests pay. Yours will come from quests and Kerning PQ, not from mobs. leads. One route you can plan: , step 4 of the doll chain, pays it or , 1 in 2 each by our reading. At Intermediate, overall and cape stat scrolls beat most weapon attack scrolls. Greater overall scrolls only sit level with Greater weapon scrolls. HP and MP scrolls sat below most DEF scrolls.
Gear above the shops. Shops stop selling weapons at level 27, and spears at 15. No shop sells gloves or capes, and earring shops stop at 25. In the game data, the weapons below lead their type over every shop and every recipe up to rank 8. All are reference drops, not confirmed in Classic World, so read this as what to look for, not what will fall.

A gap does not prove a buyer. Arc Staff and Shinkita sold far above an NPC, and Nine Dragons, Rower and Olympus look as high, on fewer sales. Red Whip and Zeco sold above it, but and just over. No sale or listing turned up for Jeweled Katar, Silver Crow, Blood Avarice or Blood Slain, so ask around before you hold one for a buyer. Stats move gear prices a lot: clean sold just over an NPC, and rolled pairs far above. Our mage plan skips the Arc Staff, so keep it to sell.
- : thieves with a claw, from level 10. 19 W.ATK against 17 for the best shop star. Sets sold far above an NPC, but the price moved a lot that week. Reference data lists it on and at 1 per drop, and nobody has shown what a short stack fetches.
- : at 29 pays a or , which recipes need. All three sold far above an NPC. Reference data lists it on . Keep or sell has the call.
- : at 42 and at 50 stop without it, and reference data lists it only on level 58 , so a player at that quest cannot farm it. Stock turned over faster than any good here, so sell a spare.
- Ore and potions: sold far above an NPC in bulk, and above it. Take it when it falls, but do not farm ore on purpose. Red, Orange, White and Blue Potions sold above an NPC, near shop price, so sell drops you will not use. and sold about what an NPC pays.
How to price and sell
The Free Market guide covers stores, permits and scams. As of 7 Nov the price board has no reports, so start from the table above if your good is in it, then see what stores ask. Middle asks ran over sales, and well over on cheap Etc like , and , so list those near the cheapest store. Match real sales, since a much lower price only helps resellers. Etc stock turned over about once that week, and how fast one store sells is not shown. Post your sale on the board, so the next seller has a real number.
When no player buys
The NPC is your floor, not your plan. Some goods sold under what an NPC lists, so compare the two before you list. If a stack will not sell and your tab is full, take the NPC price, or drop the cheapest stack once your trade lock ends. A mob's main Etc pays an NPC about the mob's own level, so by our estimate that floor is about half the mob's level per kill, counted from level 5 to 27 only. Hold what your own quests and recipes want, then clear these:
- Sold at or near an NPC price: , , , , gem ores like (not , or ), , , , , and earrings like . Nexon has published no sale fee, and several of these left no gap for one.
- Ordinary gear. About 4 in 10 gear items sold under 1.5 times an NPC, and about 1 in 8 under it.
- No buyer we can show, or no trade. and , see above, and high-level parts like . The game flags as untradable. Quest errand items like and carry a quest flag, and flagged goods almost never appear on sale.
Do not refine just to resell. Of 31 recipe routes at sold prices, 17 lose more than 10%, 9 land within 10% and 5 gain more, before any sale fee. and are among the gains. , , and sold far above an NPC, so list your spares. Most cut gems sold just over an NPC.
Quest items players have to buy
No mob we can show drops these, yet quests want them and all four sold between players, so the route is another player. Sales are thin for the Feather, one tracker caught few for the Rock, and the Feather's price moved fast. If you find a source, report the drop.
- : 3 for , which also wants a , 25 and 25 . The Spore sold for far more than the rest of that list together, and for more than the quest's 15 are worth, and its price jumped that week, so check it before you farm the rest. The payoff is the next step: pays a random gloves scroll, 1 in 4 each by our reading, and three of the four sold for more than the Spore.
- : 1 for , and 1 in each Justice cape recipe. Quest text says to ask the fairies in Ellinia, but nothing shows a fairy makes one.
- : 1 for , with 100 , 30 and 30 . Quest text says near stole the deed, but we have no drop row.
- : 1 for , with an , a and a . comes after it.
is listed only around Florina Beach, so buy the 30 for too. Most shell sales sit on one tracker.
Hold off on two. We can show no source for or , and neither showed up in sales or listings. That proves little, since both carry the quest flag. Quest text says the fairies in Ellinia may know about the . Do not stack for , or until you know where they come from.
Farming for potions and MP
Do not farm potions. Drops refund a little and no more. dropped about once in 28 kills over 769 kills, which is under 2 mesos a kill at shop price. By our reading of the test-map count, gives an about once in 40 kills and a about once in 105, so about 6 mesos a kill.
Do these instead:
- Buy the cheap points. for HP and for MP. Players report the same habit, and the Potions guide has the sums.
- Do the quests that pay potions. pays 20 Blue Potions and 30 Orange Potions. and pay 30 Blue Potions and 30 . The chains in the level 35 to 50 plan pay more.
- Rest between pulls. Players report it works. One report so far calls it tedious. It is free when mesos are at their lowest.
- Use a cheaper attack. Players report farming on a low-rank attack and saving the high rank for EXP. Two reports so far add that they finish mobs with a basic attack.
and have no drop row at all. Only shops and players have them.
Farming for scrolls
Do not farm scrolls. Quests pay them, and Keep or sell lists every one. No player we have read reports a scroll dropping from a mob. Our tables list only five equipment scroll rows on regular mobs, all reference data: on , on , and on , and on .
You will hear that mushrooms drop . We have no drop row for it on any mob and no player report. A missing row is not proof, since Nexon added drops on 29 Oct without a list, but it is no reason to camp a map either. If it happens, report the drop.
Farming for quest items
This is the farming that pays off, because you can predict it. Players report a mob's own Etc item on a little under half of kills: 45% to 48% on , and , over 184 to 769 kills. The same holds for , by our reading of a test-map count.
So plan on about 2.2 kills per item. Using that rate on any other mob is our estimate, and two very small counts came in lower. The kills below use it. Item totals add every quest one character could take, so most players need fewer. Mobs with no count are reference data, not confirmed in Classic World.

Some rules for spending those kills:
- Farm for the next open quest, not for the list. Your bag is the real limit. Chains also lock each other: Rowen's dolls wait on , so doll farming before that is banking, not progress.
- Stop the dolls at step 4 unless you want the helm. Step 5 asks for 200 more for the same EXP as step 1. The level 35 to 50 plan has the sum. Keep 30 spares, because wants 30 once Forgotten Hollow opens.
- Do not stockpile for citizenship donations. Each asks for 30 of one item, and how the board picks is unclear. See Citizenship.
- Some sources are unknown. , and have no clean source in our tables. Read Where to get it before you plan around them. The higher figures for and also rest on and , which we can show no source for.
Farming for crafting materials
Farm the mob's own Etc item and treat ore as a bonus. A mob's own Etc falls about every second kill. Ore falls about every 40 to 50, and an ingot takes 5. One report so far calls ore easy to buy and the worst input to farm. Where to get it has the kills per item, and Crafting has ranks and fees.
| You want | Farm | Where |
|---|---|---|
| , then at rank 2, once you one-hit | , | |

falls about every second kill on . and are much rarer, on one count of 40 kills, so one can take about 65 pig kills. At rank 4 it takes 10 instead, about 22 kills by our estimate. on and on are reference data, not confirmed in Classic World.
Do not farm or on purpose. Iron Ore has the biggest recipe demand of any ore, yet neither has a counted drop. Reference data lists both on and , with no Classic rate. Take the free ores from quests and buy the rest.
Do not farm for recipes. All 23 recipes that use it are above rank 8, and whether anyone can reach those ranks is not confirmed. Quests do want it, so keep what the quest table above needs.
What to do by class
Nobody has measured kill speed on any map, for any class. Read this as reasoning from mob stats and skill tables. Marks only matter to mages, and only from 2nd job: no warrior, bowman or thief skill at 1st or 2nd job names an element. Physical classes should read W.DEF and avoid instead.
| Class | Fits | Running cost | Skip |
|---|---|---|---|
| Warrior | Low W.DEF you can hit: and at 10, at 0 once your accuracy is there | No ammo, and a basic attack is free. Your bill is HP potions and skill MP | , 500 W.DEF. at level 30 |
| Fire/Poison | , , | MP. Fire Arrow on one target is your cheap kill | Fire Boars and all Drakes. Curse Eyes and Golems for Poison Breath |
| Ice/Lightning | at 33 to 42, in the 40s | MP | and with Cold Beam |
| Cleric | , then and | MP, and the lowest raw damage of the three | Fairies: 500 M.DEF, holy resist |
| Bowman | on , which needs less accuracy than . Move up once covers the gap. Hunters want clusters, Crossbowmen want lines | Arrows are 1 meso at grocers, at most about 4,000 mesos an hour of Arrow Blow by estimate. Soul Arrow ends that from about 34. MP is the larger bill | |
| Assassin | on if your stars reach them, then on , whose store sells stars. Stay near a star seller, since a 500 stack is about 3 minutes nonstop by estimate | MP first, up to about 96,000 an hour nonstop by estimate. Star recharge is a few thousand mesos at most | and maps if potions are short |
| Bandit | Maps with many spawn points, because you walk to every kill: , . This is our reasoning, not a logged result | MP, up to about 140,000 an hour nonstop by estimate. No stars | Same as Assassin |
- is a mage's job. It has 500 W.DEF against 100 M.DEF, so physical classes should leave alone even though its EXP per HP looks good.
- Poison has no farm target. Fairies are the only poison-weak mobs, and no map holds more than 3 points of one.
- Do not build around area attacks yet. Since early November, players report maps rarely giving them enough targets. Nobody has tied that to the 30 Oct change, and crowding alone could explain it. It matters for mages: needs 3 mobs to match on MP, and needs 4 to match . Count what you really hit.
- Melee, expect to lose mobs. Players on melee classes report losing kills to ranged classes, all in November. We know no fix except moving on.
- Mages under 30 have no element. Use the Magician leveling guide for the hard stretch from 10 to 20. The elements guide covers marks.
Your class's own page has the map detail: Warrior, Magician, Bowman or Thief.
How to judge a spot
Run a 20-minute test. It is the only number that fits your class, gear and crowd.
- Write down your mesos, EXP percent and potion counts.
- Farm for 20 minutes on one map and one channel.
- Add the mesos you gained to what your drops would sell for. As of 7 Nov the price board has no reports, so use what sold, and treat it as rough: the sold price if the table has one, about 10 times the NPC price for goods marked far above, 2 times for above, a little under shop price for Red, Orange, White and Blue Potions, and the NPC price for the rest. Count a short stack of at the NPC price too, since the table's price is for a whole set.
- Subtract the potions you used, at the price you pay. That is your net.
- Run a second map or channel the same way and keep the better one.
Kill speed comes first. Every extra hit a kill means more MP, more damage taken, and more mobs lost to the next player. Up to about 40, if you are at three or more on your main attack, drop to a lower map before you blame your gear. From the 40s, expect 3 to 4. A quest stack can be worth a slower kill, so judge it on the 20-minute test. That is our rule of thumb. The damage calculator and accuracy tool give estimates. Count misses too, because a miss probably still costs MP or stars.
Read spawn points as room, not as mobs. A big number means more places a mob can appear. It says nothing about how many are alive or how many players want them. Nexon said on 30 Oct that spawns now better reflect active combat on each map, and gave no numbers. When you arrive, count the mobs in sight and the rivals. If you spend more time walking than hitting, the point count does not matter.
Change channel before you change map. It costs seconds. Keep your hopes modest, though. Windia had 40 channels at launch, and players report crowding across them. No map is known to be quiet, and nobody has shown a quiet channel or a quiet hour. One report so far found the same bots on every channel at his spot, and says quiet spots get taken later. See If your map is full.
Bots are part of the map. Players report them in numbers. One report so far has them reaching 2nd job levels. Report them, and do not use a lie detector to win a spot. Lie detector and bots covers both.
Leave when one of these happens. Your net falls two tests in a row. Your potions run out before your bag fills. You die more than once: by community estimate each death costs up to about 10% of the EXP your level needs, and Nexon has published no figure.
What is a waste of time
- Hunting one rare item. Nobody we have read describes a route that does this. Every player who reports earning well kills for general drops and sells what is good. Take : it sold steadily in early November, yet we have no drop row for it, so there is no route to hunt.
- Farming ore on purpose. See crafting materials.
- Refining to sell to an NPC. Ore plus fee costs more than the result pays on every ingot and gem, except . Refine for your own recipes.
- Farming as a physical class. 500 W.DEF.
- Climbing to the highest mob you can reach. Players report the opposite works: kill what you can one- or two-hit. From the 40s, expect three or four. By estimate, climbing also makes you miss, and a miss probably still costs MP or stars.
- Camping a boss for its drops. Timers are long, and boss drops are reference data, unconfirmed. See Bosses.
- Farming in maps you cannot walk to. Every , and is around Florina Beach, with no walking route and no confirmed way in. Confirm the trip before you plan on those maps.
- Selling Etc to an NPC before you check. sells for 8 mesos, and quests ask for 41 of them.
- Chasing old guides. Rates, spots and prices from other versions do not carry over, and Orbis and El Nath are not in the game. See what is in the game.
Next: How to make mesos, Where to get it, Keep or sell, and the price board, which had no reports as of 7 Nov, so post yours when you sell.
