Kerning City Party Quest guide
How to get into First Time Together when channels are full, why you run it, stage by stage notes, King Slime's resists and what the rewards really are.
Every number and name on this page is read live from the game data.
Run Kerning City PQ for the first-clear scroll and the box. The players who run it talk about items and mesos, not EXP, and nobody has timed a run, so we print no EXP-per-run figure. The hard part is usually getting in, so read that section before you start looking for a party.

Getting in
All of this comes from player reports dated up to 30 October. Most reports describe trouble getting in. One report so far says there was none, and we do not know if things have eased since.
- Finding a full party. One report so far says there is no in-game party finder, so people use town chat and Discord. Stand near on a channel from 3 to 12.
- A formed party can still be refused. One report so far says this happens when too many parties are already running. It is more likely the entry limit than a level problem, so do not start kicking people.
- There may be no queue. One report so far says the leader just keeps talking to until a slot opens, which would explain why waits vary from minutes to an hour.
- Full channels. Players report that channels 3 to 12 are often too full to switch into. Pick your channel before you need it and gather the party there. Hop only if the target channel is not full.
Before you enter
- Every member takes from first. It is the quest that pays the first-clear reward. We do not know whether entry needs it, but skipping it can cost you the reward for your first .
- Bring potions. Your party needs to survive a level 32 boss at level 21.
- Anyone can drop coupons and passes. Since 22 October that includes accounts under the trade requirement, and the 29 October notes say players with an outstanding debt can still drop them. You do not need to make a locked player the leader.
Who should go
Go from 21 if you want the first-clear scroll. By our estimate a party of all level 21s will be slow on , level 32 with 16,820 HP, inside the reported time limit, so bring a higher-level member if the game lets you. Nexon states no maximum level, not confirmed either way in play. One report so far blames high-level players for the queues.
The jump to plan for is HP. The stage has 765 HP, nearly three times the field one's 272, even though its avoid is lower, 12 against 14.
| Mob | Level | HP | Avoid | Marks |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 21 | 778 | 9 | Weak to fire, resists ice | |
| 25 | 765 | 12 | None | |
| 29 | 1,186 | 13 | Resists poison | |
| 32 | 16,820 | 11 | Resists fire, ice, lightning, holy |
These are the party quest versions. They differ from the field mobs of the same name, so ignore any table that shows a level 31 Ligator.
Damage for the boss. 's resists only bite from second job on. A level 21 to 29 Magician uses and , which we read as plain magic, so that party member is fine. A level 30+ Magician or Cleric should expect reduced damage from their elemental skills. does well on and badly on the boss. Poison carries no mark on , but whether is worth it there is unknown.
The stages
The monsters and maps below are client data. The puzzle steps below are reference data, not confirmed in Classic World. The client does not document them. If something differs in game, tell us.
Stage 1, coupons. holds 22 . Kill them for . Reference data says asks each member except the leader a question, and the numeric answer is the number of coupons to trade for a . Answer lists online disagree, so read the question: the number equals the fact it asks about. Hand in the exact count and drop the rest.
Stage 2, ropes. . Three members hang on 3 of the 4 ropes. There are 4 combinations: 1-2-3, 1-2-4, 1-3-4, 2-3-4.
Stage 3, kittens. . Three members stand on 3 of 5 platforms. There are 10 combinations: 1-2-3, 1-2-4, 1-2-5, 1-3-4, 1-3-5, 1-4-5, 2-3-4, 2-3-5, 2-4-5, 3-4-5. Written lists often leave out the last one.
Stage 4, barrels. . Three members stand on 3 of 6 barrels. There are 20 combinations.
On all three puzzles, move one person at a time, say who is moving, and write down what you tried. If two people move at once, you cannot tell which change mattered.
Last stage, . holds 3 , 6 and . Reference data, not confirmed in Classic World: each of these 10 drops a for . and have a 180 second respawn, so a slow party sees more of them.
Bonus. has 24 and 12 . Kill until the timer ends. One report from launch week put the meso pickup at about 6,000 in 20 minutes or more.
If you die. The client's return map for every stage, the bonus included, is stage 1. So death should leave you inside the run, not out in Kerning City. Whether you can get back to your party is unknown.
Rewards
- First clear: pays 1,870 EXP, 687 mesos, 1 fame and one Intermediate Earring scroll, rolled at 25% each from , , and . Each is 60% for +2. The EXP is about 8% of level 21 on our table. If you roll someone else's stat, sell it: players report selling these for real early money. Check the market first.
- Every clear: for each member, reported. It cannot be dropped or sold. Since 21 October it gives fewer of the nine gem ores and has a chance at . One report so far lists potions, elixirs and sometimes a 60% earring scroll. Odds are unknown.
