Is Cleric worth it? What Heal, Bless and Invincible really do in Classic World, party and solo SP orders, and where a mage with a single-target attack should train.
Every number and name on this page is read live from the game data.
Holy Arrow is your attack. Heal is your sustain. Start there and the job makes sense. If you are coming for the old trick of healing your way through undead maps, read the next section first.
Watch out
Classic World's Cleric differs from older versions. Holy Arrow hits one target. Heal damages undead only, and its strength is untested. Invincible cuts physical damage, and Bless cuts all damage taken and raises Heal, not accuracy. Their full values, -20% and -15% with +10% Heal, only apply at skill level 20. Which Bless number is damage and which is Heal comes from reference data, not confirmed in Classic World.
Note
Classic World stops at level 100. As of November 2026 it has no 3rd job, so plan on this job for the long haul. By our estimate you get 1 SP at advancement and 3 a level, not confirmed in Classic World: 121 by 70, 211 by 100. Every 2nd-job tree costs 140, so all of it is maxed at level 77. Whether later SP can go into 1st-job skills is unknown.
Damage figures on this page use community formulas that Nexon has not confirmed.
Is Cleric worth it?
Yes if you want party value, Heal sustain that looks cheap by one estimate, and undead maps. No if you want top solo damage or remember Heal training from older versions.
You have no group attack and no Meditation. Holy Arrow reaches 160 and costs 28 MP, the lowest value per MP of the three branches at 5.71. Those are client numbers.
Holy-weak maps close the gap. By our estimate Holy Arrow is worth about 200 on holy-weak mobs, above Fire Arrow's 180 on Wraiths, which are neutral to fire. It falls behind on neutral mobs, and on mobs weak to both fire and holy such as Jr. Wraiths. Holy-weak mobs are 38% of spawns from mob level 30 to 75, and 60% at 40 to 49, the best of any element.
Heal was fixed, and players call it a nerf. On 8 Oct Nexon narrowed Heal's too-wide reach and stopped casting without enough MP. Nexon calls that a bug fix. Heal still covers 500 wide, 600 from skill level 16, and up to 6 targets.
Players disagree on the job. There is no agreed verdict, and no measured number either way.

SP order
Both orders share the start. Heal 5 unlocks Invincible and Invincible 5 unlocks Bless, so the fork comes at 43. Both finish at 77.
Party:
Solo:
Solo or party is a choice about Invincible
Build at 70
Physical cut
Bless, split by reference data
Physical durability if they multiply
Party: Invincible 5, Bless 16
-5%, 140 s
-13%, +8% Heal, 250 s
about x1.21
Solo: Invincible 20, Bless 1
-20%, 300 s
-5%, +1% Heal, 100 s
about x1.32
Whether they stack that way is our assumption. You hold both only at 77, about x1.47 at that point. So "Cleric has the best effective HP" is a level 77 statement, not a level 40 one.
Stop Bless at 16 in a party. The last 4 points buy 2% damage cut and 2% Heal, and Heal 30 does more for a group by our reasoning.
Invincible's text adds that monsters taking contact damage from you take non-elemental magic damage too. Nobody has measured that.
How to play it
Keep casting Energy Bolt early on neutral mobs. By our estimate Holy Arrow's average only passes a maxed Bolt around skill level 22, so about level 38, because its mastery starts low. On holy-weak mobs it pays sooner.
Heal is sustain first. One estimate so far puts Heal 2 at about 110 HP for 12 MP. That is cheap next to potions. The client says the amount changes with how many people it heals.
Heal only hurts undead, and Holy Arrow still does your killing. Heal's damage on undead is untested at every level, so do not build a training plan on it.
Reference data says Heal's six slots fill with party members first. Not confirmed.
and are holy weak but not undead. Holy Arrow is your spell for them. Heal does not hurt them.
Do not stop for the Skeleton maps because they are undead. Every Skeleton, Skeledog and Mummydog has 0 MP, so MP Eater is dead. at 42 to 48 is an option only if you carry your own MP. Past that, at 70 a still takes about three casts by our estimate, an about four and a eight or more, so they are not a 2nd-job solo spot.
Whether Holy Arrow uses the holy-weak mark at full size is unconfirmed. Its text says very effective against undead or devil-based monsters, and the client also marks some other mobs holy weak. The usual estimate is about x1.25, older guides say x1.5, and none of it is tested in Classic World.

INT
Every spare point. INT is your Holy Arrow damage. Heal's scaling is not known.
2
LUK
By our estimate LUK adds no damage. You need it to wear gear: your level minus 10, from 20.
Never
STR, DEX
Whether spells can miss is not settled, so treat missing as possible against mobs above your level. Either way, DEX does nothing for a mage.
Level minus 10 fits all mage armor to 70, and every wand through Cromi. Every staff from level 15 up needs 5 more, and so do and . gives +5 LUK if gear counts toward requirements, which is unconfirmed. , , and have no confirmed source anyway.
Gear
Use at 35, at 40 and stay on it until at 50. Skip : it needs 40 LUK at 45, and you will have 35. The armor you can really get is in Magician build.
Every colour of a piece has the same defense, so always take the one with the most INT. Level 55+ gear drops are unconfirmed. Only quest gloves and earrings have a sure source.
Where to train
Spawn counts come from the game files. Nexon changed how spawns respond to combat on 30 Oct and did not publish details, so busy maps may feel different.
