Mushmom
Henesys's hidden boss: 34,440 HP, a jump for 665 before defence, weak to fire, not undead, and the only listed source of the Mushmom Spore for Jane's Second Challenge.
Every number and name on this page is read live from the game data.
Two quests bring you here: a for at Lv. 44, and the for the citizenship quest at Lv. 47, which pays 11,400 EXP, 1,477 mesos and 10 .
You need exactly one Spore, and it has no other use: no recipe and no other quest wants it. It is a drop, not a kill credit, so one kill is no guarantee, and the rate is unknown. Plan around that.
Base timer one hour, more random since 21 Oct, so plan on at least that and do not set an exact alarm. If the boss is missing, try another channel, and log the kill on the boss timers page. Rules are in the boss overview.
Before you hunt a Spore
Buy 3 before anything else. No mob or shop in our data gives it, and this quest comes before the Final. Stores list it, so buy it from players. The Free Market guide covers how.
Do not rush it. Jane's chain opens at Lv. 44, after , and runs in order. Each step pays 9,940 EXP and 1,389 mesos, 29,820 EXP in all, from in Lith Harbor.
| Quest | Kills | Items | Reward |
|---|---|---|---|
| 50 , 50 | 1 , 25 , 25 | 10 | |
| 50 , 50 | 1 , 3 , 25 , 25 | 15 | |
| 100 , 50 | 1 , 20 , 10 | A random gloves scroll |
With Lv. 48 Wraiths and Lv. 55 Maladies on the list, a Spore does nothing for you at 40.
Gather the rest next, so the unknown wait is your last step, not your first. The Final's quest log suggests asking the fairies in Ellinia for the . No mob we can show drops it, and stores list it, so expect to buy it from a player.
Check the stores. The Spore has no untradeable flag in our data, and stores list it, so buying one may beat waiting. See the Free Market guide.
The Final's scroll is random, equal weight in the client, among (60%, +2 W.ATK), (10%, +3), (60%, +4 M.ATK) and (10%, +6). If it is the wrong kind for you, sell it.
The Torn Note
in Henesys gives at Lv. 47, after and . Take it before you go. The quest log says the note came from killing Mushmom, but no drop row lists it, so we cannot say whether one kill is enough. It opens a five-step chain at 11,400 EXP a step, 57,000 in all. See citizenship. If you finish this step, tell us how many kills it took.
Getting there
Four portals, all hidden. Open the pathfinder the first time.
- : far west end of town, up high, into .
- An Empty House: walk to the far left, into .
- Pig Park: go all the way to the far right, into .
- Pig Park II: climb to the top right, into .
What it does
- Jump, 665 before defence. It is 125% of 532 W.ATK and its only listed attack. Contact is 532 before defence. Treat 1,000 HP as a floor, which is our margin, not a measurement.
- Speed +5. That is far quicker than Stumpy's -60, so do not count on walking off to drink. Not tested. Drink early.
- It regenerates 344 HP per tick. Tick length is unknown.
- It is not undead. Heal does nothing to it, and it has no holy mark, so do not expect a bonus from Holy Arrow.
What to use
| You are | Use | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Fire/Poison | Weak to fire. With Stumpy, one of your two best bosses | |
| Ice/Lightning | Neutral | |
| Cleric | No edge here. Do not plan on Heal |
Physical classes: you need about 95 accuracy by our estimate from Lv. 40 up, 114 at Lv. 35 and 132 at Lv. 30. A higher level adds nothing past that. Check your hit rate and damage in the fight checker, and see the boss overview for how the estimate works. We have no tested solo level or kill time, so we do not print one.
While you wait
Someone Else's House holds 13 and 2 : 784 EXP a clear against Mushmom's 340. Pig Park has 20 Iron Hogs and Pig Park II 22.
That 784 is face value. Iron Hog has W.DEF 500, so physical classes should not plan on it. It has M.DEF 100 and is marked weak to lightning. Fairy has M.DEF 500, resists lightning and holy, and is weak to poison, so mages should mostly leave Fairies alone.
Drops
Reference data, unconfirmed. Our rows: , (Lv. 40, warrior), (Lv. 40, magician), (Lv. 50, any class) and . That last one is doubtful, since its text says it comes from a Rotten Mushmom, and that boss is not reachable yet. Send what you see, with your kill count, through the drop report.
Next: Shade at 47.
